Morkata Gata operates in Ethiopia's Guji zone, a region known for producing coffees with distinctive character and natural complexity. The farm focuses on traditional heirloom varietals, grown at altitude where slow ripening creates concentrated flavor. Both their washed and natural processed lots showcase what's possible when you start with excellent plants, excellent land, and excellent commitment to the work.
Ethiopian coffees carry the history of coffee's origin point. Morkata Gata's approach honors that history while farming for contemporary quality standards. The coffees taste alive, clear, and distinguished. They taste like Ethiopia.
