A rising origin in specialty coffee. Unique terroir and dedicated producers making a name for Ecuadorian lots.

More information about our Coffee Beans from the Country of Ecuador collection.

Ecuador is one of specialty coffee's emerging origins. The country has the altitude, the volcanic soil, and the biodiversity to produce exceptional coffee, but it hasn't had the same level of specialty infrastructure as Colombia or Guatemala. That's changing. A new generation of Ecuadorian producers is investing in quality processing and varietal selection, and the results are turning heads at cupping tables around the world.

Ecuadorian lots tend toward clean, distinctive profiles with good sweetness and a terroir character that's hard to compare to other origins. There's something different about what this soil and climate produce, and it's exciting to watch the country develop its specialty identity.

July Jumbo's washed Typica from Ecuador is our current offering. It's a clean, transparent coffee that shows the variety and the origin beautifully. A great introduction to what Ecuadorian specialty coffee can be.
