More information about our Best Coffee for Pour Over collection.
Pour over gives you a clean, clear cup that lets individual flavor notes come through in a way immersion methods sometimes don't. V60, Chemex, Kalita Wave. A controlled pour of hot water over a bed of coffee. Simple setup, noticeable difference in clarity.
The coffees in this collection are ones we think taste their best brewed this way. That generally means coffees with more acidity, more complexity, more delicate tasting notes. Floral Ethiopians, fruit-forward naturals, and bright Central Americans tend to really open up with pour-over brewing.
If you're used to a French press or drip machine, pour over is a great next step. The learning curve is gentle, the equipment is affordable (a V60 dripper runs about $10), and the difference is noticeable right away. We have brewing guides on our blog if you're just getting started.
These coffees work well brewed other ways too. But pour over is where we think they're at their best.
