Chocolate, caramel, and bright citrus from volcanic highlands. Coffees worth slowing down with.

More information about our Guatemalan Coffee Beans collection.

Guatemalan coffee tends toward chocolate and caramel notes balanced by bright citrus acidity. Volcanic soil and high altitudes in regions like Huehuetenango and Acatenango have a lot to do with that. But working with the producers we source from, there's a level of nuance and personality in each lot that goes beyond the typical Guatemala profile.

These are coffees worth slowing down with.

The Villatoro family is a big part of our Guatemalan story. Florencio Villatoro's washed bourbon is a staple, and his son Rodin has been producing standout lots of his own, including a natural-processed bourbon and a washed bourbon Caturra Alaska lot that we've been really impressed with.

The Suchini family's anaerobic natural-processed Gesha is a special coffee. Anaerobic processing at this level requires precision and experience, and the Suchinis have both. The result is intense flavor clarity and a sweetness that's hard to find outside of the best competition lots.
