Over the last several months we've sent out emails with a Q&A about my sister Zoë and my wife Jenna.  It was fun to have them create & fill out the survey and I love that it helps you guys get to know us a little bit better.  I'm thinking of doing these on a regular basis because there is always more to learn.

However, I've never completed one of these surveys myself.  I think I've avoided it because I feel like by sending out these emails you already get to know me.  For the sake of continuity and because I need to finish the about us section of the website, I should answer the questions.

Q & A With Matt Kellso:

My name is: Matt

Where were you born?
Ypsilanti, MI

I’m inspired by:
A challenge, my family, God's Word

I collect:
Coffee brewing equipment, records, books

I never leave the house without:
my phone and a thermos of Sagebrush Coffee

If I could live in any decade it would it be?
I'm good with this decade.

On a Sunday afternoon, I like to:
Most Sundays start with church, but the best ones have a nap and football in there too.

My favorite hobby:
I don't have a lot of time for hobbies, but Sagebrush started as one, so I guess roasting coffee.  I lead a Bible study with my church and love spending time with my church family too.

What is your favorite TV show/shows?
Arrested Development, Seinfeld, I'm enjoying the new Lemony Snicket show on Netflix right now.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Although I was raised in South Carolina, I haven't spent enough time on the east coast.

What is your favorite coffee from Sagebrush?
I'm always a sucker for dry process Ethiopians, so Drima Zede has to be my favorite.

What talent besides Sagebrush coffee do you have?
I don't know how to answer this question, so I'm just going to use it as an opportunity to say that my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family.  I love that we all work together on Sagebrush and I enjoy going out to a new restaurant together, or watching a funny TV show, or just making each other laugh.

The best part about working at Sagebrush is:
As our about us page says, I've always loved coffee from when I was a very little kid.  The best part of Sagebrush is that I was able to take my hobby and turn it into a business.  The best part of the business is bringing coffee that I love to as many people as possible.
