Here at Sagebrush Coffee, we offer a variety of coffee beans that are ideal for different brewing methods. After roasting and cupping, certain beans stand out as perfect choices for our espresso. Although suitable for any brewing method, we particularly recommend these two coffee beans for those using an espresso machine at home.

La Cumbre • La Esmeralda • Washed Catuai from Costa Rica

Dark Chocolate - This coffee has a tasty boldness with a chocolate-forward flavor. We really enjoy the smoothness of the coffee as well. Thus, we felt rich dark chocolate would best describe the primary notes we're picking up.

Orange Zest  - There is a touch of perceived citric acid that we pick up and feel that orange zest describes it well due to its lack of sugar content or extremely high level of acidity.

Peanut Butter Cookies - Behind the boldness lies a nutty sweetness that we believe was most helpfully described with Nutter Butters. It's a strangely specific note for a very general taste, but we think it helps tie in that sugary backend with some of those peanut-like roasted notes.

Finca La Esperanza • La Basa • Washed Bourbon from Guatemala

caramel - This coffee is incredibly smooth with a heavy emphasis on developed sugar. Caramel presents these two major traits in an easily understood way.

milk chocolate - The terroir of Guatemala most commonly brings forth notes of cocoa no matter what. This washed bean stands as no exception with a deliciously smooth and sweet note of milk chocolate.

cream -The idea behind the note of cream was in order to describe the mouthfeel. This cup boasts a particularly smooth profile overall.
