What is this coffee?

We really wanted to meet Carlos on our origin trip in 2025 as we were in the same region where he is located, but unfortunately things didn’t pan out. Regardless this coffee is a great value, with touches of bright acidity over an extra rich chocolatey Costa Rica terroir. We had this on espresso for a little while and it was great, I personally love washed Costa Rican coffees on espresso, you can really draw out the nuanced complexity on this guy.

Processing Method

Washed Process- Washed processing is coffee's most common and reliable method. Through depulping, controlled fermentation, and thorough rinsing, this water-intensive process minimizes variables to produce clean, bright cups that showcase origin characteristics and variety.

Country

Costa Rica- Costa Rica's commitment to coffee excellence is unmatched. Point in fact: they once had a country-wide ban on the production of Robusta (a coffee plant that produces lower-quality coffee) and grew only Arabica for thirty years. This commitment has paid off on the global stage, as Costa Rican coffee has become widely known for its bright, clean, beautiful cups.

Altitude

1500-1700masl - Altitude is typically correlative to the potential complexity of a coffee bean. The higher in altitude the coffee is grown, the denser the bean will be, resulting in a more dynamic cupping experience.
